DAVID HUDSON BSc(Hons), PGCert (Manip), MCSP, SRP
Chartered Physiotherapist & Director of Halton Physiotherapy & Sports Injury Clinic


David graduated as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 1995 and has over 16 years clinical expertise.  Having worked in both the NHS and for the MoD he has a wide and extensive range of experience and postgraduate education in the assessment and management of musculoskeletal injuries sustained in sport, training and everyday life.  He integrates a variety of different recognised approaches to musculoskeletal injury, to ensure each clients condition is managed according to its presentation or individual need.
 
Combining a range of skills; including joint manipulation, stretching, education and exercise therapy; he rehabilitates the ‘whole’ individual to ensure clients recover and feel empowered to prevent a recurrence.

ELAINE MACWHIRTER BSc(Hons), MCSP, SRP, APPI
Chartered Physiotherapist & Certified Pilates Instructor


Elaine MacWhirter has been working as a Chartered Physiotherapist for 16 years both in the NHS and Private Sector having worked with consultants and GPs in fracture and soft tissue injury clinics.  Elaine has developed extensive skills in the management of acute and chronic conditions and sports injuries.

 

Elaine is also a qualified Pilates instructor, implementing and leading rehabilitation classes, in addition to individual treatment programmes.  She is committed to on-going development having attended various courses including biomechanics and muscle energy techniques.

TONY WILLIAMS BSC (Hons), MCSP, SRP, AACP accredited

Chartered Physiotherapist & Acupuncture accredited

 

Tony has over 12 years experience having graduated with BSC (Hons) in 1998. During his time he has gained a wealth of experience working in the NHS, managing and being clinical lead at the Liverpool University Sports Injuries Clinic and working overseas in New Zealand. He is currently employed by the MoD as a Clinical Specialist and is the head of recruit rehabilitation at RAF Halton. He recently received a Chief of the Air Staff commendation on the 2011 Queens Birthdays Honours List in recognition of exceptional service.

 

Tony is committed to continual professional development and has an extensive and varied postgraduate portfolio ensuring that he keeps up to date with current theories and best practice. Tony is presently studying towards gaining his Masters in Advanced Manual Therapy from Manchester Metropolitan University. He is also qualified to acupuncture and is a member of the acupuncture governing body AACP.

 

Using a number of skills he is able to assess and treat all musculoskeletal conditions ranging from everyday aches and pains to implementing rehabilitation programs for the sporting population.

PAUL JOHNSON BTEC Dip. Level 5 (Oxford), Clinical Sport and Remedial Massage Therapy, MISRM

Sports Massage Therapist

Paul completed a BTEC Level 5 Professional Diploma in Clinical Sports and Remedial Massage at the Oxford School of Sports Massage (OSSM) in 2010.  The OSSM is one of only five schools in the UK to be accredited by both the Institute of Sport & Remedial Massage (ISRM) and the Sports Massage Association (SMA).  The Level 5 qualification is the highest in the UK, and is internationally recognised, and has become the benchmark for quality training, teaching the skills necessary for treating a wide variety of musculoskeletal problems, from common postural dysfunction to sports-related injuries.

 

He is a full member of both the the ISRM (Institute of sports and remedial massage and Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).  Both of these bodies require a stringent level of continuous professional development to ensure therapists are kept up to date with the latest developments in the profession.
